TASTING FLIGHTS

Our wine flights feature 5 of our wines and can be enjoyed at your leisure on our front tasting porch or pergola area. The front tasting porch and indoor tasting room is 21 and over. Outdoor seating is available for guests with dogs, picnics, or children. Group size for wine flights is limited to six people.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Wine by the bottle and glass are available to enjoy in our outdoor seating areas.

Our grounds and buildings are vape and smoke-free.  Pets must be on leash and in designated areas only.  Pets are not permitted in the tasting room or on the porches with the exception of service animals.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Due to space limitations, our tasting room is 21 and over.

We are a small venue and respectfully request no groups over six people.

LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS

We are located in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and our goal is to provide an informative and fun experience focused on our wines in a tranquil and harmonious setting.

McRitchie Winery and Ciderworks is located just north of Elkin off Highway 21 on Thurmond P.O. Road (NOT Thurmond Road!). We are less than 15 minutes out of town but it feels like worlds away. Our vineyard is minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Stone Mountain State Park and many other attractions.

NOTE:  Some navigation systems default to 315 Thurmond Road when 315 Thurmond P.O. Road is used ... try using 315 Thurmond Post Office Road.  We are not on Thurmond Road! 

From Charlotte:
Take I-77 North to Exit 83 (Highway 21 – Sparta).  This is a left-hand exit.  Continue north on Highway 21 for approximately 10 miles.  Turn right on Thurmond PO Road (NOT Thurmond Road!).  Winery is .2 miles on left.  We are about 1 ½ hours from Charlotte.

From Winston-Salem / Greensboro / Triangle:
Take I-40 West to Highway 421 North.  Take I-77 North to Exit 83 (Highway 21 – Sparta).  This is a left-hand exit.  Continue north on Highway 21 for approximately 10 miles.  Turn right on Thurmond PO Road (NOT Thurmond Road!).  Winery is .2 miles on left.  We are about 1 hour from Winston-Salem; 1 ½ hours from Greensboro; and 2 ½ hours from the Triangle area.

From the Blue Ridge Parkway (10.5 miles):
At milepost 229, near Roaring Gap (NC), go east on US Highway 21.  Turn left on Thurmond PO Road (NOT Thurmond Road!).  Winery is .2 miles on left.
