We care about the earth and our place on it. Our estate vineyards are farmed using sustainable and low-impact methods. We carefully work with nature to achieve healthy, balanced soils and plants and to reduce and even eliminate our dependence on non-sustainable inputs. Our vines and varietals were selected based on what we thought would grow best on the unique soils, slope, aspect, and elevations of each of our three discrete vineyard sites.
In addition to our estate vineyards, we source additional grapes, and the apples for our ciders from the best growers in the Yadkin Valley. Our growers do an outstanding job of nurturing their fruit and we are deeply grateful to them for all their hard work.
Our winery facility is designed to be energy-efficient and to provide the optimal venue for the creation of drinkable, food-friendly wines. Gravity flow techniques enable us to gently move the grapes, juice and wine throughout the winemaking process. Our goal is to create balanced, elegant wines that are expressive of their origin (terroir) and reflect true varietal character.
Like our vineyards, our kitchen garden is tended using natural, sustainable growing methods. We grow heirloom herbs and vegetables that are used for our winemaker dinners and other tasting events throughout the year. Our perennial gardens are home to birds, butterflies, and beneficial insects, all contributing to a healthy farm environment.
We hope you enjoy our wines as much as we enjoyed
making them for you. |
